DANCER Katerina discovered the benefits of belly dancing some 18 years ago and became totally addicted to this unique form of self expression.
Katerina began dancing at the age of five and attended the Jason School of Dance in Enfield, Middlesex. She has studied ballet, tap, modern and national dance, gaining qualifications in both IDTA and ISTD. Katerina is now based in Torquay, Devon, where she teaches regular belly dance classes.

She has appeared on Carlton TV and Skylife TV and has travelled widely performing belly dance in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Tenerife, Greece, Turkey, Spain and Italy.
Katerina is a member of Equity and is the resident dancer at Torbay's renowned North African restaurant Al-Beb and it's newly opened sister restaurant La Boca in Exeter. She is regularly requested to dance at weddings, celebrations and international folk festivals.
Katerina has performed with top Egyptian percussionist Hossam Ramzy and has studied Middle Eastern dance with some of the most respected teachers including Cairo's Raqia Hassan, Sonia of the Bellydance superstars, Dondi Dahlin from California and Morocco of New York.
In 2004 Katerina was a special guest on board P&O's cruise liner Oriana, alongside Olympic gold medalist Tessa Sanderson. In fact, Tessa joined other keen students on board and attended Katerina's classes. Katerina has danced on stage with newsreader Angela Rippon and, more recently, caught up with celebrity ballroom dancer Anton Du Beke to check out his stomach rolls! This Christmas Katerina's class even had a surprise student ... Big Brother star Kemal Shahin!
Katerina also writes a weekly dance column for the local newspaper the Herald Express
